Stopping power

All I wanted to do was paint and replace the seals and booom, the bloody bleed nipple has been sheared off flush with the calliper.










Tried drilling with a normal bit an no chance.












So got me some Cobalt bits, a 2mm and 4mm a bit pricey but worth saving my little calliper.

and bingo right down the center about 20mm deep.









in with the trusty screw extractor, tapping and turning till it bites. after much sweating and lip biting it grabbed.

Turning slowly and level out she comes.












Come on baby !!












Yes slowly but surely out it comes.

A fair bit was still in place at least the seat was not damaged.











Time to strip and clean.












Remove all the rubber boots.












All bits into the ultrasonic cleaner.












They come out like new.Time for paint.












Spotless.












The offending orifice looks a little battle scared but functionally good to go.

Just need new nipple.
